I’m a Movement Therapist specialising in Hypermobility, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Chronic Pain. I have over a decade of experience in supporting clients with their pain management and guidance on the path to health and wellbeing. I am the author of two books and write for the Huffington Post, The Mighty and Thrive Global on the topics of chronic illness and invisible disabilities. I regularly present for the Ehlers-Danlos Society at their international conferences.
But, it wasn’t always like this. I was a chronic pain sufferer, with a hypermobile, bendy and unstable body. I experienced three episodes of pneumonia that left me with a lifelong lung condition called bronchiectasis. My extensive medical history of seemingly unrelated issues finally led me to a diagnosis of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). These experiences changed me, but I decided to devise my own approach to take back control of my health and I am passionate about sharing this with others.

I have been teaching Movement Therapy since 2008, having trained with – among other organisations – the internationally recognised leader of rehabilitation-based Pilates, Polestar Pilates. I am a certified member of the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA).
Over the past ten years, I explored outside the realm of Pilates and studied other disciplines – attending courses on biomechanics, anatomy, neuroscience and lifestyle medicine. Through self-practice, study and the privilege to work with thousands of my own clients, I developed the Integral Movement Method (IMM). The IMM is a no pain, no strain strategy to movement that allows the body to release stress and tension from the body and replace it with a calm nervous system and efficient movement patterns. Pain and discomfort, often stuck in the body for many years, can often disappear. The IMM is endorsed by doctors and physiotherapists and has helped hundreds of people.
I now provide specialist support to those living with chronic pain and have extensive experience working with specific needs, such as:
- Pain management including low-back pain and chronic pain
- Hypermobility including those with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder
- Chronic Fatigue
- Post-surgery therapy and injury rehabilitation

I’m a firm believer that Movement heals.
After my own struggles with chronic pain and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, I developed a bespoke way of using Pilates to unlock pain-free movement. My Integral Movement Method (IMM) can help bring about a huge range of benefits, including improving your posture, managing your pain, helping provide solutions for those with hypermobility. alleviating lower back pain, and generally making you feel better connected to your body.

In January 2022, I was awarded the prestigious Community Champion Award for services to the hypermobile community by Ehlers-Danlos UK. I joined the International Consortium Allied Health Working Group in February 2022 with The Ehlers-Danlos Society.
